JAMAICAN JERK MARINADE, ingredients :
2 Bunches of green onions.
1/4 C Brown sugar.
5 Scotch bonnet peppers.
6 Cloves of garlic.
1 tbs Allspice.
1 tbs Ground dried thyme.
1 tsp Ground cinnamon.
1/2 tsp Ground nutmeg.
2 tbs Cider vinegar.
1/4 C Dark or light rum. (Optional)
JAMAICAN JERK MARINADE, instructions :
This is my interpretation of a Jamaican Jerk Sauce. Works great on chicken, pork, and fish.
Use this recipe as a starting point, and then fine tune the heat to suite your tastes.
Place all ingredients in a food processor. Puree.
Store the Jamaican Jerk Marinade in an air tight container in the refrigerator 3-4 days before using.
The Jamaican Jerk Marinade, can be stored for up to 30 days in the fridge.
