Ingredients :
Ingredients for CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA RECIPE :
One pounds of boneless chicken breast, cut into strips
2 ½ tablespoon of olive oil, divided
1/4 cup low fat yogurt
2 teaspoon of fresh garlic-ginger paste, divided
1/4 tea spoon of ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt, divided
½ teaspoon, ground cumin powder
1 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoon of Garam Masala
2 cups of crushed tomato
½ cup of fat free half and half cream
½ cup of fresh chopped Cilantro leaves
Execution :
CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA RECIPE instructions:
Combine chicken strips, ½ table spoon olive oil, yogurt, 1 teaspoon of garlic-ginger paste, cayenne pepper, ½ teaspoon salt and cumin powder. Mix well and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a medium skillet add the onion. Cook few minutes till onions turns light brown.
Add garlic-ginger paste, Garam Masala and ½ teaspoon salt. Cook for
few more minutes.
Add crushed tomatoes. Mix well and cook for few more minutes.
Reduce the heat, add half and half . Mix and cover and let it simmer.
Place chicken pieces on the heated grill pan . Turn the pieces
over when chicken pieces turn whitish. Let the other side grill for few more minutes. Transfer the grilled chicken to the Masala sauce and mix well.
Remove from heat. Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with Cilantro leaves. Serve with ROTI or cooked Basmati Rice.
